Why Bespoke Stationery is Worth It
The beauty of bespoke wedding stationery is that every detail is designed to suit your day, your style, and tell YOUR story.
Set templates just don't always hit the mark, and will usually only be “almost” what you want, but not quite.
But with custom wedding stationery, here’s why it’s worth every penny…
1) It’s Not Just Ink on a bit of Paper/Card
You’re not buying paper. You’re investing in design, ideas and time…both yours and mine. When we work TOGETHER, you’re getting:
A full creative consultation. I'm an actual real life human you can talk to in person. And at MY HOME!…. so you know I'm not going anywhere and you can get your story across properly.
You get to see studio samples in REAL LIFE to actually see and feel the quality and discuss it’s versatility before committing.
Unique designs built from scratch. You get a hardcopy sample with your own details, for you to see in the flesh allowing you a chance to amend wording, style, layout etc, right down to the tiniest detail until it's perfect.
Personal attention at every stage: no bots, no generic emails, no “Dear Customer” vibes. It's actually ME and only me behind the screen, on the phone or the postal letter.
2) It’s Your Voice, Not Mine.
Your invites should sound like you, not like a random Pinterest caption or a copy-pasted script from Google. I spend time listening to your story, your vibe, and what feels natural. Want your invites to be formal and traditional? Done. More relaxed with cheeky undertones? You’ve got it!
Don't worry, if you panic at the thought of having to think up the right wording I do give a choice to select from.
3) Design That Tells a Story
Every couple is different. So your colours, fonts, illustrations, paper choices, they all matter. We can do formal or we can be playful, and as bespoke as you wish. In the past I have:
- created invites to mimic theatre tickets, complete with tear-off stubs, for a couple who met at a drama club and got engaged on stage
- done stationery for a wedding at Rowton Castle, with a pattern I created to match their wallpaper, as the couple requested something to tie in with the room
- illustrated churches, venues and even cruise ships for a couple that met on a cruise
- scanned flowers off a bridal gown, and turned the flowers into digital images to use on all the stationery so that it even matched the dress!
- aged paper to give it a vintage look for a Henry VIII theme, at a venue that he famously stayed at. I used scrawly text in the background, scalloped edges, used browning ink to age the paper, rolled into a scroll, tied with gold ribbon, added an ivory feather and a red paper rose
- painted a welcome sign by hand on to an old loft hatch, by my customers request
- painted an hessian aisle runner for a beach wedding, handpainting the same floral graphics I used on the stationery
You dream it, I’ll do the rest.
4) It's a One-to-One Relationship
We’ll probably exchange a lot of messages. You might send me a panicked email at 11pm about Aunty Jean’s dietary needs. You might change your mind about the ribbon colour five times. That’s okay. That’s part of it. You’re not just another order number, I actually care and I am here for you.
5) Check back in any time.
When you've already sent your invites, then 2 weeks later you remember you didn't include your mother's boss’s daughter’s aunty's best friend's cousin? It's ok, we can still make up that extra one for you afterwards. You don't need to feel pressured into ordering 10 spares ‘just in case’. We've got you covered, so only buy how many you need!
If you want your wedding stationery to feel personal, something made just for you, then it’s so much more than paper (which by the way is luxurious, thick quality paper and card). It’s an experience and full service!
